Get Involved in Liberation Learning

We are a grassroots and all-volunteer network of child care workers, including unpaid and under paid child workers.

Moms, dads, grandparents, neighbours, community volunteers, nannies, family care providers, early childhood educators, preschool teachers, and all other child care workers are welcome to join us in building a broad social movement to transform child care in British Columbia.

Community-Based Child Care Leadership Schools

We are in the process of forming local child care leadership “schools” that will provide workshops, leadership development “learning circles”, and community building programs for child care workers within communities throughout the province. We have just about legally formed the first child care leadership school in Vancouver (which will be organized as community-benefits, or not for profit, cooperative). Next year we’ll have formally launched a cooperative in Victoria. Soon after, we’ll expand to other communities as well.

Anyone who attends at least one workshop in a given year, and who signs up to become a member, is welcome to participate in the leadership committee of your local child care leadership school. For more information aboutĀ becomingĀ involved, please visit the page for your community:
